One way to increase the number of visitors to your site is to add your site to an affiliate scheme.
Basically this means that you prepare one or more banners and, using a third party affiliate scheme, allow other people with websites to display your banner. If someone clicks on the banner and then comes to your site and buys something, you pay the referrer a commission.

We're web designers & developers and we’ve designed and reviewed hundreds of websites. It’s not always a happy job because sometimes when we go online we want to pull our hair out. Except some of us don’t have any.
We look at websites out there and wonder how much some poor business has given to their web designer to come up with a site which is, pretty much, utterly useless.

Simply put, there is no easy or sure-fire way to raise your website's ranking in Google or other search engines. So, if you receive an email saying such-and-such a company will get you to the number 1 slot in Google for 1,000 euro delete it and forget it.
But, obviously, some sites are ranked number one so the question is, how did they do it?
